This is our VCSA version. We need to upgrade the VCSA from 6.0 to 6.5. VMware does not carry an in-place upgrade and for this reason it will be necessary to go through two stages. This guide also applies if you want to migrate from 5.5 to 6.5 and I also think of 6.7 ..
Download the VCSA 6.5 ISO, mount and launch the installer.
The process is split in two steps.. as written in this screenshot..
PHASE ONE…
Specify where the migrated VCSA will be deployed…
Select the Data Center..
And the host…
Set the name and root password. Usually i use a similar original name and the same root password.
Select the storage…
Set a temporary ip address ..
confirm all the information..
Now wait the deployment process ..
PHASE TWO…
At this point, the wizard checks if there are some incompatibility.. In our case, as we can see, there is a plugin that will be disabled..
Select all data…
The shutdown warning….
Finish!
